“The seat of Melbourne will be hotly contested at this year’s election. Adam Bandt is an excellent candidate for the Greens. With his strong background in industrial law with Slater & Gordon, Adam will give the Greens a very good chance of winning a lower house seat.”

July 25, 2007 - Rudd and Howard in bed with the coal industry
The Greens NSW have released an online advertisement parodying Labor's "Howard Asleep on Climate Change" ad. The ad shows John Howard and Kevin Rudd in bed together and highlights the dangers of Labor and Liberal policies on global warming.
Despite the threat of climate change, Kevin Rudd has refused to set short term emission reduction targets, has committed to an expansion of the coal industry and the continued logging of old growth forests. Unproven "clean coal" - that won't be available for decades – is favoured by Labor over renewable energy such as wind, solar and geothermal. June 11, 2007 - Read what Adam & Richard said about two degrees in The Age
‘Liberal and Labor, make a call: how much heat can you stand?’ By Richard Di Natale and Adam Bandt
The Greens policy is to achieve emissions cuts of 30 per cent by 2020 and 80 per cent by 2050. This would give us an 80 per cent chance of keeping the temperature rise below two degrees. How do the major parties compare?
